In its programme declaration, the Government of the Slovak Republic has taken as one of its many priorities in transport to ensure progress in the construction of international corridors running through the territory of Slovakia, in particular D1, D3 and R4. For this reason, the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic supports various platforms where state representatives, academics, and also experts who can move our country forward in the field of transport with their opinions and experience.
The Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic welcomes every opportunity where experts from the Ministry, the National Motorway Company, a. s., as well as the Slovak Road Administration of the Slovak Republic meet and interact with inspiring people from practice, but also authorities from the academic community. Only in this way can we mutually strive for a common goal, which is a modern road infrastructure that has an irreplaceable place in the transport mix of the Slovak Republic.
Technical University of Košice is the largest technical university in Slovakia and an internationally recognized research and educational institution, providing education and solutions in various areas of life, including transport buildings and structures, where it has educated world-renowned experts. We are delighted to have taken over the patronage of the conference, which aims to take forward the debate on road construction in our country, including the participation of authorities from academia.
The University of Žilina has been one of the leading educational and scientific research institutions in Slovakia for more than seventy years. Its graduates are not only in the field of transport in important functions of the state, but also in the private sector. Its lecturers have an irreplaceable role in developing scientific knowledge and expertise. The Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava is the oldest and most successful technical university in Slovakia, a member of the EULiST alliance of European universities. STU is one of the leading research universities and is involved in the development of state-of-the-art transport solutions.
